Charlie (Nelson) and Hanna (Mol) are in crisis and facing the end of their marriage when Charlie literally starts to disappear. As he fades from the world, he discovers a new world of “invisibles”; people who have disappeared just like him and who now exist in an alternate reality. Continually drawn back to his old life, he starts to see their marriage and the tragic loss of their six-year-old son Oskar (Webster) from Hanna’s point of view and soon realizes that he must fight to return to his reality. Director Andrew Currie (Fido) returns to Cinéfest Sudbury with The Invisibles, which stars Tim Blake Nelson (The Ballad of Buster Suggs, Oh Brother, Where Art Thou?), and Bruce Greenwood (Republic of Love, Donovan’s Echo, I, Robot).

Charlie et Hanna traversent une crise majeure et leur mariage semble tirer à sa fin. Charlie commence à disparaître, littéralement. Alors qu’il se retire de ce monde, il en découvre un nouveau, une communauté de gens invisibles qui, tout comme lui, ont disparu et vivent maintenant dans une réalité parallèle. Continuellement replongé dans son ancienne vie, il commence à voir son couple et la perte tragique d’Oskar, leur fils de six ans, du point de vue de son épouse. Il réalise qu’il doit se battre pour retourner à son ancienne réalité.
