Mamífera

Lola (Soto) enjoys a happy life with her partner, Bruno (Auquer), until an unexpected pregnancy revolutionizes all her plans. Although Lola has always been clear that being a mother is not for her, she now feels challenged by social expectations and faces her inner fears. During the three days they have to wait until her appointment at the clinic, Lola approaches her friends and family with the intention of reaffirming her decision. Bruno had never imagined himself as a father either. That is, until now. Mamífera was nominated for the SXSW 2024 Grand Jury Award.

Lola et son conjoint Bruno mènent une vie paisible et heureuse, mais une grossesse inattendue vient tout bouleverser. Lola a toujours su qu'elle n'était pas faite pour être mère. Elle se sent maintenant pressée par les attentes des autres et doit surmonter ses peurs intimes. En Espagne, une loi oblige les femmes à réfléchir pendant trois jours avant de se faire avorter. Lors de cette période d'attente, Lola fait part à ses proches de sa décision de ne pas garder l'enfant. De son côté, Bruno ne s'est jamais imaginé devenir parent. Du moins, jusqu'à maintenant. Mamífera était en nomination pour le grand prix du jury au SXSW Film Festival.
