Who Do I Belong To (Mé el Aïn)

Aicha (Nasraoui) and her husband Brahim (Grayaâ) live with their young son in their close-knit Tunisian village. Theirs seems a life of pleasantry, sharing a warm rapport with their neighbours, including Bilal (Bessa), who often visits, sharing a bond with Adam (Rayene Mechergui). But suddenly, their son Mehdi (Malek Mechergui) returns after having joined the Islamic State, having fled with his brother, who is now dead. With him is a mysterious woman, who he introduces as his pregnant wife. Since the authorities have been looking for Mehdi and his brother, the family must keep the return a secret, despite Brahim wanting them gone. Convincing her husband they must at least stay until the baby is born, Aicha eventually learns Mehdi’s troubling secrets.

Aïcha et son époux Brahim vivent avec Adam, leur fils cadet, près d'un village tunisien très uni. Ils ont de bons rapports avec leurs voisins, dont Bidal, qui est très lié à Adam et le visite souvent. La vie est paisible et agréable. Soudainement, Mehdi, un des trois fils de la famille, est de retour après avoir joint les rangs d'État islamique. Il a pris la fuite avec son frère, mais ce dernier a péri en route. Une femme mystérieuse l'accompagne. Il présente à ses parents son épouse Reem, qui est enceinte. Puisque les autorités recherchent Mehdi et son frère, la famille doit garder le secret sur ce retour imprévu. Mais Brahim, lui, veut que Mehdi et Reem partent. Aïcha tente de convaincre son mari de les protéger jusqu'à la naissance du bébé. Elle découvre les troublants secrets de son fils.
