Jour de chasse (Hunting Daze)

Nina (Ricci), a young and headstrong exotic dancer, finds herself stranded in the far North. She convinces her recent customers, five men on a bachelor hunting trip, to put her up for a few days. In this masculine micro society, by turns hilarious and philosophical, Cynthia starts to feel a sense of belonging she never has before. But a mysterious stranger’s arrival changes the course of this improvised holiday forever. Both raw and dreamlike, Jour de chasse offers up a unique universe where humour, horror, the uncanny, and the sensual combine.

Nina, une jeune femme au caractère fort et imprévisible, se retrouve pendant quelques jours avec une bande de chasseurs dans un chalet loin dans le Nord. Au sein de cette microsociété masculine cinglante et attachante, elle sent qu’elle fait enfin partie d’une meute. Toutefois, cet équilibre fragile est bousculé lorsqu’un mystérieux étranger se joint au groupe. À la fois cru et onirique, Jour de chasse propose un univers singulier qui entremêle mystère, tension, humour noir, sensualité et une touche d’horreur. C'est le premier long métrage d'Annick Blanc, qui compte à son actif quelques courts métrages primés.
