Sometimes I Think About Dying

Set along the dreary Oregon coast, Sometimes I Think About Dying follows Fran (Ridley), a woman who wastes her mundane daylight hours in the solitude of her cubicle thinking about dying—not that she wants to go through with it, but rather to sit and wonder what it might feel like to bring sensation to her quiet life. When she meets Robert (Merheje), the new guy at work, she unintentionally makes him laugh, which quickly leads to more: a date, a slice of pie, a conversation, a spark. The only thing standing in their way is Fran herself. Tackling themes of social anxiety, depression, and loneliness, this workplace-set romantic drama tells a story of love for the socially awkward and emotionally challenged. Sometimes I Think About Dying screened earlier this year at the Sundance Film Festival where it was nominated for the Dramatic Grand Jury Prize, and was also produced by lead actress Daisy Ridley, who is best known for her role as Rey in the Star Wars franchise.

On y relate l’histoire d’une femme socialement maladroite qui éprouve de grandes difficultés émotionnelles. Ce film a été présenté au Sundance Film Festival en janvier où il était en nomination pour le prix du meilleur scénario dramatique. Il a été produit par l’actrice principale, Daisy Ridley, mieux connue pour son rôle de Rey dans Star Wars.
