Emma (Desmarais), ??in her early thirties, is a talented conductor and rising star on the Montreal scene. Les jours heureux (Happy Days) chronicles her complex relationship with her father and agent Patrick, who has maintained a devious hold on her since childhood. The possibility of obtaining an important position within a prestigious orchestra only raises the stakes for Emma. She will have to come closer to her true emotions and make choices, both for her music and for herself, if she wants to successfully navigate her career and her romantic relationship with Naëlle, a newly divorced cellist.
Emma, dans la trentaine, est une cheffe d’orchestre très talentueuse, une étoile montante de la scène musicale montréalaise. Elle entretient une relation complexe avec son père. Autour d’eux gravite Patrick, un agent qui maintient une emprise sournoise sur la jeune femme depuis l’enfance. La possibilité d’obtenir un important poste au sein d’un orchestre de prestige ne fait qu’accentuer les enjeux pour Emma. Elle devra laisser place à ses émotions véritables et faire des choix, autant pour sa musique que pour elle-même, si elle veut parvenir à naviguer sainement entre sa carrière et sa relation amoureuse avec Naëlle, une violoncelliste et mère nouvellement séparée.
