In a small rural town, Alex (Barbier), a former professional boxer, lives as a worker for a concrete materials company. One night, chased by armed men, his twin sister (Schoonjans) breaks into his home with a migrant and his daughter. Compelled by the situation, Alex helps to hide them, unaware that they are keenly sought by entrenched forces. The spiral starts. With no choice and under financial pressure, he starts competing in illegal boxing fights.
Dans une petite ville rurale, Alex, un ex-boxeur professionnel, vit comme ouvrier dans une entreprise de matériaux en béton. Une nuit, poursuivie par des hommes armés, sa sœur jumelle fait irruption chez lui avec un migrant et sa fille. Alex, contraint par la situation, accepte de les cacher, ignorant qu’ils font l’objet de nombreuses convoitises. L’engrenage s’amorce. Dos au mur et sous pression financière, il accepte de participer à des combats de boxe illégaux. À terre promise est le premier long métrage écrit et réalisé par Lionel Bernardin.
